Your contribution is critical to our mission to give hope to detained youth.
- What do donations pay for?
- Supplies - in an effort to provide the best for our youth, we make sure they have access to materials and supplies to give them an excellent experience. Our volunteers should not have to pay for supplies.
- Travel Expenses for the Howard Community College/Beyond Rhetoric Partnership (Internship) - it costs to drive to the facilities we serve, and the impact falls heaviest on college interns who are required to visit the detention centers every week.
- Management - of course, we have to keep the lights on, phone in operation and . . . this website. . .
- What the donations DO NOT pay for:
- Board Salaries - Beyond Rhetoric has an all-volunteer Board of Directors. Its Executive Director's expenses are reimbursed, but the ED's salary is raised through non-restricted grants.
